The company “Janis ECO B&C “ is not afraid to take projects around Sweden in different places.
In April we continued our work on a reed roof in a place called Beddingestrand near Trelleborg. It is just a few kilometers away from the southernmost point in Sweden.
The project consists of two houses by the Baltic Sea - 30 meters from the coast.
The weather conditions were different compared to other projects. You can always feel the wind in these types of places. The sea makes a sound even at 4 m/s wind. We saw and enjoyed the slow arrival of spring and the flowering of nature.
Houses that underwent complete renovations got new thatched reed roofs again. The thatched roofs are 3 pcs. nice roof windows and one thatched Velux window, two ventilation outlets, connection to glazed terrace, and four new chimneys.

It was nice to meet and work half a day with the most professional thatcher in Sweden – Adam Ooms. He showed how to properly install reeds around a Velux window and we appreciate it highly.
Thanks to our team: Jānis, Kristaps and Bernhard
